I've had nightmares about this happening, and it finally did

100% writeoff, including the GoPro HD2.

Aww bummer! That sucks, especially the GoPro2!! What happened? (I'm assuming NOT a radio failure?)

It wasn't a radio failure or pilot induced, nor was it video. The props were all firmly attached when I saw it, the battery was connected firmly and I had video right to the ground.

I suspect that I was much lower on batter than I thought. Before departure I had the battery at 11.8, which was enough to be airborne for just a few minutes, which was all I was up for. On approach to land (bleeding off speed and altitude) it did a black flip (the ground clearly fell AWAY as oppose to under) and crashed onto the curved part of the road that was in my earlier videos.

The other possibility is that a wire could have shorted on the frame. I check this stuff pretty regularly, but I found an ESC wire frayed near the FCU. Whether that was the cause or the effect is anybody's guess.

I'm 99% sure that a motor stopped mid flight. Why, I don't know yet. I'll be taking the aircraft completely apart to try and find out why.

The GoPro HD2 does work after inspection, but the lens is scratched. Wonder what the going price is on a GoPro HD2 with a broken lens

WOW - 1000 pages!!
Well I tried for 45mins, must have changed the ID about 15 times and then re-bind the same amount. Still the same problem. First the colour(LED)sequence does not match with the manual and now the DLv2 not function properly.
This is not right.

Sorry about this man!

This happens even to the best pilots. I haven't started FPV flying and I already have nightmares about loosing the plane

You have to lift your head up and keep going.

It sounds ugly but, like an old friend say to me "nor the first one nor the last one"

Sorry........ This comment was for Chris :-)

Problem solved. Really stupid solution.

Binding instructions are totally wrong.

Hold bind button until the led turns yellow, then release and it flashes yellow.

Update the damn instructions dammit.

Good to hear that. The instructions are all wrong. Does your RX LINK LED(blue)stay on or does it flash on and off? Mine flashes on and off losing the LINK.

Yeah, sorry about that. I only found this out when one of our resellers mentioned this. I keep the most current instructions on my website: http://files.chrisseto.com/7lO

...And I think Mike forgot to sync up

Yeah, pretty much. The one thing that I am thankful for is that this happened during my off season when I really don't do a lot of flying anyway. The fact that I went for a bike ride this evening without freezing to death is astounding considering the typical weather for this region.

I'll be building a new, nice, hex over Christmas break. It'll be ready to fly by the spring and very soon after I'll have my pilot's license to boot.

If your blue light blinks, just change ID a few times and rebind. That usually fixes it. Mine took maybe 4-5 changes of ID to get the solid blue.

Heh, he lives in Florida and his video is on the home page of DragonLink. He might be one of Mike's friends or something.

Rev on the front page is one version behind. I'll tell Mike to deal with it.
