While your at it, you can add material to make intakes and increase the size of the tail. Shove a bigger edf in there.

Hi microedf lovers,

I have already tested my first MiniViper with Hacker outrunner, flies very well and is fast. The center of gravity is 45 mm from the leading edge, 2s 450 lipo, one 9 gr. servo and one 3.5 grams., 4.4 propeller. Truly a great little jet! Now I have started the construction of the second with inrunner Hyperion Y12 .... some pix of the work ......

Hi rob,

is to put the Hyperion, I hope it's cool enough. The hole is 16 mm, the engine 12 mm in diameter, so you will only see the propeller. I thought of drowning the engine in poly but I do not think it works well ........
I have a 30 mm edf from Aeorc, but the problem is the back.....too little.....

Well I got it :-)

it is a nice model very easy to make rc
the foam is the same foam as known from the Funjet is very hard, yet flexible
I opened the intakes because otherwise you have no cooling for the engine and the engine only in insulation material

battery also fits well in the nose only have I done something wrong :-(

When heating the shrink sleeve, I did'nt note that i heat the tail to! the foam bubble a little bit, does anybody know how you can repair this?

I have some pictures that I post later but will first make him ready to fly :-)

If the bubbles are imperceptible you can sand, or a lightweight filler and paint over (if the final finish will be painting). Be careful when you do the maiden, run at no more than 3 / 4 gas, do not give a strong impetus when you lunch the model. Mine is sensitive to the effect of prop torque ... then when it picks up speed .. no problem. Yesterday I made a video, just adjust and then i'll post. Good luck to maiden.......
