I'm sure it would chester. The blades would have to be thicker for the printing process but they would still function well.

My next order will include the 26 blade unit I have designed. If that works anything less will too. ChrisT has reported his micro 3 blade rotors work extremely well.

Meanwhile, I need a cam with macro because I don't have anything here that could focus close enough to the retract to show it in operation without badly blurring. This thing literally is the size of a small button.

See if your camera has a macro setting. If so, you may just be able to get by.

Turns out my HD cam wing cam that I often use has defocused. I took some, what I thought was 'super cool video' out at the field this morning only to find it was all blurry when I viewed it back at home. I'll try to shoot some more video of the retract tomorrow.

This technology is so science fiction that I just can`t get over it. I`ve got to have a couple of sets just to show people even if I never put them in a model.

But I want to build a UM EDF, maybe even a sport jet UM, and it`s got to have retracts.

Only just got back from flying so haven't had a chance to do anything in the way of video as yet.

I finally sat down and took video of the first printed set of retracts. Best make a coffee and get comfortable, I ramble on for 10 minutes.

Nitro---LOOKS GREAT!!!...I need three sets---One 3 gear set for my GP F-86, another 3 gear set for my NitroCharged Hawk, and a 2 gear set for my micro Mustang...

Maybe you need to consider something before changing the length of the part that sets the degree angle of the retracts...Although the ones you show don't go to 90* they appear to be PERFECT 85* retracts for planes with dihedral like the P-51...Make up some sets that are 90* but also some 85* sets for planes with some dihedral...Finally, can you lengthen that part to of the retract to make up a 100* nose gear retract for planes that have a forward raked nose gear like the F-86???

Yep awesome work! I was thinking the same thing about the angle of the strut. Another example is the FW-190, they would work great on it as is.

Now we just need rotating units for the F4U, lol.

great Job! As kevin said, your 85 degree retracts are actually perfect for any plane with a slight amount of dihedral. The metal pins for the micro GWS look very solid...I like . And your button retract looks great and is so small you really can't even see the mechanics in your video....Amazing Stuff!
