I used the DD 8x4 on 2 cells when I learned to hover because they have a more gradual power curve so things happend a little slower. Now I only use the SF 8x4.3 on 2 cells because, in my opinion, the acceleration and speed are better.
On my Sbach 342 I use a 3 cell setup with the X-2204/28 KV1480 and there I use the DD prop because the RPM is too much for the SF. The blades of the SF flexes and make strange noises at full throttle. The DD 8x4 is very nice on 3 cells!

Never saw the Sunyskys in green, had two of the black ones and both didn't last that long.

Then you must have had bad luck.
Both mine are black and without the Sunnysky branding. I've flown countless of hours with my X2204-21 and the X2204-28.
Now I'm running the 28 on 3 cells and it's working great!

Yeh I must have had good luck with them too. Must have about five or six of them and they're all still going after lots of use and abuse. Even managed to bend the back of one of them, thought the motor was toast with the bell binding on it but a bit of gentle persuasion with vice and a pair of grips and it was good as new. Took the two screws out for the prop saver slipped the bell off and just worked away at it till the gap was the same all the way round with the bell back on, stuck the screws back in and have continued to abuse it since then with no problems at all. Like you Stark I've been running the 28 on 3s for a good while, I didn't think it would last long on 3s but it doesn't seem to bother it at all.

Just pulled the trigger on the Regular Crack Yak with landing gear. It was a no brainer for me although I did struggle between it and the Slick. A few of them were at or field last weekend and after flying the Slick it was very apparent how poorly my 2 year old 3DHS 330 was flying. That plane started out at under 6 ounces and weighs now about 10. Several tubes of welders on her!

That's my favorite foamy. I have lights on mine too. It needs a new motor and aileron servo at the moment though

I love the scheme on it!
