GWS 8x4.3 at the top and GWS 8x4 DD at the bottom.

Just watch the gws slow fly they tend to snap at the hub. It's why I go for tuff props or dura thrust ones.

im using the black 8x4 DD ones now.

SF is a slow fly prop

If you want to use 8x4 DD the Turnigy 2202/14T is probably not the right motor for you, despite what HK states. I took mine out of the box and the DD prop will not fit without an adapter, and no such thing was included.

No, it's not weird, it's by design.

This one is great! And come with adaptor rings for GWS DD and probably APC. I use it right now in my Crack Yak Lite. It's also a bit more powerful than the Turnigy 2204-14T.

It definitely would help to upgrade to some 25-30c batteries since 20c at .35aH will only provide 7 amps as opposed to something like this which could provide at least 20 amps (although it may be a little overkill for your purposes but when has overkill hurt anybody)?.

I'm curious too. I heard Direct Drives are OK on like 3S Standard CY planes but never tried them. I would think that they tend to make you fly more "pattern-ish".

I have about 15 Direct Drives sitting around here and never used one on a Twisted Plane. The thinking there was that you can spin the SF prop faster, get better torque rolls and superior stability while making the plane fly slowly. You can still of course make the plane go way fast enough to be exciting but you should also be able to slow it down with more throttle in than on a Direct Drive. Flying slow and low would be good for some precision maneuvering and practicing new 3D aerobatics. Any other thoughts on it... I'm interested.
