They are all great flyers. The edge was my first TH Plane and its still flying great. Not quite as pretty as when I first got it but it still flys just as good.

They are 1/2 the size but pack almost the same torque! They are small!!!!

I'm with you, I don't understand the love for the little Hitecs

Futaba 3114: 8g, 21oz torque, .10 sec transit
Futaba 3154: 8g, 21oz torque, .10sec transit
Hitec HS-35, 4.5g, 11oz torque, .10sec transit
Hitec HS-45, 8g, 14oz torque, .14sec transit

To me, the Futaba is a clear winner. I usually run a 3154 on the ailerons and 3114s on the tail. I'll give up a few grams for the torque and at .14sec, the HS-45 is a snail . The advantage of the HS servo is a beefier gear train although I've never broken a set of gears on the Futabas.

For a 5g servo, the Dymond D47s is lightening fast at .08 transit speed with 16oz of torque. The slower D47 @ .14sec transit has 20oz of torque.

I've got a question for you all... how many planes do you have currently? If you need to break it down, you can do so by the following:
1. ready to fly (meaning, you just need to slap a battery/fuel in it and you're ready to roll.
2. in some stage of build or on order / awaiting parts, etc...

I was going to have another line for ones that have been retired/crashed/parts planes, etc... but quickly realized that number could be really high for some folks, myself included, so we'll just leave that one alone for now... lol

My personal breakdown is:

1. 5
2. 1

WOW... I know you're a team pilot, so it makes sense... but even if you fly two planes a day, you still don't have enough days in the week! lol... I have a hard time choosing between the ones I have... lol
