I am flying with Thunder Power 480's. They are pricey. TP says that you can charge them at 5C! Seems like 2.4 amps is an awfully high charge rate for that little battery...

TP's are overrated IMHO. Gens ace charge at 5C too and they are $3.20 for 2S and $4 for 3S.

What an amazing price difference. TP 3S are $22, TP 2S are $16. Wonder why the TP cost so much more?

Seriously, i really doubt that there is that much of a difference compared to cheap lipos

I just looked on Hobby Partz web site. According to the data, the Gens Ace batteries are just as good, if not better...

I've got 8 Gensace 450 2S packs and I tested the IR on them the other day after around 100 cycles on them including charging them regular at 5C and leaving them fully charged for long periods and all but one came out at a true 23-24C. The other came out at 17C but one out of the eight isn't bad considering the price of them and the abuse I give them. TP's would have to be something seriously special to command the $16 price tag.

I love my Gens Ace 2S 450's.

I charge at 5C and keep them fully charged and ready to go. Only issue I have ever had was a JST connecotr that got a little loose. Replaced the connecotr and that pack is still in use.

Aside from Twisted, of course, where do you all mostly order from inside the US? I've almost always used Tower, but I can't think they have the best prices....
