The way i understand it is that if you have a charger that will charge a 6s lipo than with a paraboard you can charge three 2s packs at once. That would be perfect.

And i am getting the paraboard from epbuddy also.

Well, sort of.

Let's say you have an iCharger 106B. It can deliver up to 10 amps and with a 6 battery parallel and balancing board you could charge:

6 - 450 mah batteries at 1C would be using 2.7amps total. At 3C you'd use 8.1amps. So, you could charge 6 of these batteries close to 4C. It would be about 3.7C.

4 - 2200 mah batteries at 1C or 8.8 amps

2 - 2200 mah batteries at 2C or 8.8 amps

6 - 2200 mah batteries at less than 1C

I have the Thunder AC6 Dual Power charger and it charges upto 5a. Not sure if they have changed the max amps since I got mine, which has been awhile. I also use the ebuddy paraboard with it with no problems. I charge 6 2s 460 packs in around 37 minutes with the charger set on 5a.

Yes - I have an AC6 and it is fine for this size battery. I can do a single Gens Ace 2S 450 at 5C (2.2 Amps) in about 12 minutes.

You can get 5 Amps max out of the AC6 but using a paraboard at 5 amps you can do multiple packs pretty quickly.

JC

ps - when you want to go BIG, get a PowerLab 6 or 8. I have a PL 6 and that does a max charge of 40A for 6S (40A on 8S for the PL 8).

i dont think that is correct,i believe that if you have a charger with enough wattage you can charge up to 6 packs, the reason i think this is because when you charge in pararell its like chargeing 1-2 cell pack but at a higher amperage.

i use the 3010 icharger with a paraboard that has a provision for 6 packs, but when i setup my charger to charge it is set for 2 cell lipo at 2.7 amps, the batteries are 450 mah.

the way this works is , you are charging 6 -450 mah packs
1-add up your mah,in this case 6x450=2700 mah
2-set your lipo charger to 2.7 amps, that is 1c charge rate
3-connect your balance leads to the paraboard then your main connector, this case a JST,to the paraboard
4- charge ,40 minutes later all done

if you want to charge faster then double the amp rate which is 5.4 amps

this is just what i do and this is only a suggestion,if you dont understand please ask for more info

So, you're charging the batteries at almost 2C using 5amps. Full 2C would require 5.4amps.

If one wants to parallel charge 6 450mah bats at 5C, you'll need a charger that can put out 15amps or more.

Yes, I set the ac6 to 5a, which is max. With the paraboard hooked up, that charges them a little under 2C. I think the batteries I have are rated 4 or 5c charging rate,. I have 24 2s batteries, 450 Gens Ace and 460 nano-techs. I have 5 of TH crack series planes the my son and I fly. Well actually 4, I have not had time to build the new bipe yet. So we go thru batteries pretty fast.

1000w should be enough. lol

I have this, along with the iCharger 106B. I do charge 2200 3S but never more than 3-4 at a time. Fits my needs at this point.
