Well, those servos are just....inapproprieted for this plane. And the servo arms are just....
I prefered ordering this Pitts without servos, and provide those one for Elevator and tail: http://www.savoxusa.com/Savox_SC1257...avsc1257tg.htm
and http://www.savoxusa.com/Savox_SH0254.../savsh0254.htm for ailerons.
I think that this plane can fly aerobatics without any problem, in his stock version. But if you want to practice 3D, then forget servos (and maybe ESC).
I'm making video on building this Pitts.

Custom made for sure and a creative fix to a problem but it doesn't inspire confidence in purchasing a stock version. If he hasn't already, maybe Pete could chime in with a potential fix by Starmax?

Best,
Tony

Overkill much?
I'm sure the model would benefit from better servos, but that's a bit excessive.
It's not like this Pitts is going to be so crisp and precise that it needs uber-quality servos like those.

Can someone who has this bipe or gets one soon let me know how realistic it would be to remove wings before and after flights for transport. Huge pain in the butt or not too bad?

I called and asked BH if they were removable and they said no which means too big for me to transport but I notice the first post in this thread by Pete said they were removable. I tend to trust Pete more than the person on the phone but clarification for sure would be awesome.

TIA

Who is going to do the first flight report? Looks like they are now available at BH no more pre-order.

Removable Wings ???

Too bad we have conflicting statements from BH employees on the "removability" of the wings. I'm sure some pilots with postpone their purchase of this Pitts until this issue is resolved.

Hi,
mine will fly tomorrow.
If you want to remove wings, you have 14 screw at least to remove, and all shrouds. I will keep mine complet because I have a Chrysler Grand voyager....
Flight video and assembly video coming soon!

Hi guys,
I had a very very nice maiden! Sorry for the landing, it's not on video (memory card was full....) but it is very very very nice to fly and easy to "kiss" landing.
It was my 1st flight with a biplan and a accro plane, so be kind with the flight
Pitts 1er vol (6 min 5 sec)

I also lost cockpitt, because I didn't fix it fairly well. No damages.

I stumbled across this one on BH the other night and was wondering about it myself, I have never flown a Biplane (Dad was a pilot and just loved them!)
I have the 1400 mm FMS P-51 & P-40 and fly a couple EDF jets (F-16) might have to pick this one up after Christmas sometime!
