5V feed and inverted PPM?

Sid,

I have been following your thread and I am VERY interested in your Rangelink product. I hope to be using my JR 9303 2.4 Ghz 9-channell TX to feed the PPM to the Rangelink unit. It is my understanding that many different models of JR/Spektrum transmitters can be modified to produce a 5v inverted signal through the trainer port.

Question: Will the Rangelink accept an inverted 5V PPM signal? I have been following the JR9303 Mod on another group here:
http://fpvlab.com/forums/showthread....-PPM-mod/page3

Please let me know if this will work.

Thanks,

yes,check first post:
7: Compatibility: RangeLink can work with any popular 4-12 Channel radio in the market, and it does not matter if the PPM signal is positive or negative! (Plans to make rangelink works with Futaba radio 12ch ppm mode)

Sid,

I am getting together my order, but was curious about the USB2TTL (CP2102). Is this used for programming? Please advise.

Thanks,

Just i think the T8FG would be great, low price. ^_^

A slow serial uplink (surface to aeroplane) would be very useful for autopilot controlled UAV flight. For example in-flight waypoint modifications etc.
Do you have a plan making such a firmware version? Can't be too complicated, the Tx already has the serial input, and even a very slow baudrate is acceptable. This is something the competition misses - so it should make your system first choice for the UAV fan.

On the trainer port , weak signal out, so you need open the tx,and remove the two diodes

make sure the t8fg works at 8 ch ppm mode.
