Forgot to mention I added small blocks of hardwood behind each screw hole in the hatch. You really should'nt rely souly on the fiberglass to hold the screw in place.

Measuring the hatch opening with a caliper you can see the diameter of the changesun fan unit is exactly the same as the opening after removing the beveled part. Removing the beveled part ruins the support to the hatch cover, but doesn't leave any holes at least

Im sorry.. but who would want to use a changesun fan unit
They produce less thrust and draw way to many amps. Go Wemo,HET or the high end ones but throw that CS in the garbage.

I carved the hatch as needed.
Remember there is an Up and Down to your unit!
I cut the area were the intakes join, both to allow the Hub in and to reduce the high pitch whine. The gap between the intakes must be joined. Do not allow fuesalage air to be drawn in(or should I say, compressed air to escape). This will lessen your thrust.

I think the hardest part now, will be to install and tape up the Thrust tube.

I agree with keeping the intake airtight except when the ESC needs air flow.I just posted on the habu a solution I use when the ESC gets HOT. I usually seal in a small CF tube between the ducts to suck some air over the packs and esc. I know you lose some air velocity but it has allways been a better trade off for me than cutting inlet and outlet vents or swinging it behind the motor.

Im sorry if I sounded a little crude mauryr, but thouse fans really are garbage, unless you just want to float around on 6s, and even then.. Plus there are no Holes in my hatch. I didnt remove it all the way to the edge.

Lol, no offense taken, the fan is included in the package, and I don't have any specific plan for it. I was just talking sizes, don't worry
