Fastest viper

Hey Fellas
Sorry to ask this question, its probably been asked many time s in this thread, but there is so much to sift thru.
What is the fastest speed ( doplar or radar) the HK viper has reached up to date, and what is the setup?
Also, are the wings detachable for transport?
Thanks
Steve F

Early days yet....12S stuff in the pipeline...check the last few pages.
Wings detachable but you have to provide means of securing...there is a couple of methods explained in this thread.

Here it is ready to fly
new configuration on the lipos , split them apart and Velcro-ed them to the walls. Maiden will have to be with 2650mah 6s x 2 nano tech.

why do you need 2 life packs?
and what's your overall weight? Ive got those struts too but I realised they are too soft. have you modded them?

Using the 2 life packs as balance weight, 1100mah for flight controls and 700mah for speed sensor. I still need to get a scale , as I have no idea what it weighs. I know it's a lot less than the 2 5000mah 6s .

As for the struts,
I'm using the dsr-a from HK on the mains, stock springs are very stiff and keep from bottoming out, even bounce back up when pushed down. The Nose strut is also HK struts, there cheap ones, just using the front is all, I put the wheels from the original rears on the front strut as they are bigger mm . The front strut that came with the dsr has a very weak spring. I also took the wheels from a habu 32 , which are made from rubber and look very nice and put them on the mains in place of the cheap foam tires that came with the dsr struts.

I got mine finally done, mostly. After changing my plan for the gear it all went smooth from there. I just decided to go with Vettster and get done with it! 10s, 9305 fan with typhoon 1400kv. I'm at 6.5 lbs, with my batteries I should be at max 7.5lbs.

I am going to test this one out at Maidenfest on April 21st . I am at 2.8 KG without batteries. HobbyKing cockpit adds about 200gms . I am using the CS 12 Blade with the HET 700-60-1865 KV on 8s.With 2 4000 40C 4s Batteries I am at 3,825 gms . The amp draw is high, but the blast out of the thrust tube is awesome!
I am going to belly land , has anyone figured out a good protective guard for the servos/flaps ?

I want your batteries
How are you going to only add 1 lb of weight on a 10s ? You say from 6.5 to 7.5 with batteries. Each of those 5s packs is going to weigh about a pound at least. I'm running 12s , 3300mah packs , 522 grams each , that adds on about 2.5 lbs to my empty weight.

Finally weighed mine at just under 9 lbs with lipos, thrust 10-11 lbs range
