This may be an answer to get changesun retracts operating on Futaba non-programmeable channels (ie 9 & 10 on 10CAP tx )
Anyone tried?

Strut Type PD25... on hindsight there are bigger/better available.

Strut Pin Ex 5mm electric motor shaft c/w circlip & brass washer. Clip sits in recess in Changesun trunion. Pin was high tensile steel, needed to be ground (not regular lathe tool) in lathe to fit strut (4mm)

Steering Pull/pull 20kg fishing trace, tensioned with 2.5mm whipper snipper nylon heat shrunk to wires. Keeps pull/pull wires clear when retracting.

Now to get on fitting the EDF..oh I wish the intake tubes were removable like the HK Hawk.

its a set. you can't buy it separately. Search for 7075 alloy struts in hobbyking.
Windrider and x-flight also sells them

I went with the typhoon 1680kv motor , should put out good power

Thats the same Kv as my ARC motor. I run it on 8s with a HET fan and get 2700Wp at about 80amp if recall correctly. I also go as high as 10s. Make sure you buy a bigger esc for the times when you want to add extra cells. I use the Turnagy 120hv opto. Its as solid as they come.

well.. with my Typhoon 1500kv on het fan on 8s I got almost 2700watts on some good 65c nanotechs.. 84-87 amps amp draw (can't really recall the exact numbr)

the 1680 will certainly do around 3000 or more on 8sit's cheaper than the arc

I'm just saying there is no reason to pay arc or neu when HET have some very equivalent motors
that were also pushed at 4kw with no probs

I would say that ARC is slightly higher in price because they use Titanium bearings. Believe me...Im a big supporter of HET. I love all there products. I only posted to give 420 an idea of the power he will be looking at since he's new to this size of edf

the Arc motor are the same cost as Het motors, the one you guys are talking about the 1680kv I give the edge to Het because its a bigger motor and will handle more power better and thus transfer more watts to shaft power. they are both great motors but one is 36mm can and the other is 40mm so they are diff, by the way we just fired up our new Arc 3675-1 1680 motor in an Extreme Alloy wemo fan and after maybe 10mins of total run time balancing and such it has a bad bearing in it and has to be sent back.... sucks!

Got the message that the motor shipped. This will be my first het motor, looking at fitting it in the change sun 90mm 12 blade unit. Think your right about the esc, I'm going with a castle 120hv .
