OK nose gear done..pretty conventional, just a few comments.

Strut Type PD25... on hindsight there are bigger/better available.

Strut Pin Ex 5mm electric motor shaft c/w circlip & brass washer. Clip sits in recess in Changesun trunion. Pin was high tensile steel, needed to be ground (not regular lathe tool) in lathe to fit strut (4mm)

Steering Pull/pull 20kg fishing trace, tensioned with 2.5mm whipper snipper nylon heat shrunk to wires. Keeps pull/pull wires clear when retracting.

Now to get on fitting the EDF..oh I wish the intake tubes were removable like the HK Hawk.

looks good bobbit, fitting the edf to the intake ducts is a royal pita and hard to work via the small edf hatch.
have you had a chance to check the weight balance on the wheels?

Thanks fg. I did a rough check to see if the balance is doable & it seemed ok. I wont know for sure until my nanos & EDF motor arrives. I don't have too many concerns as my wheels are about where the fixed wheel versions are & that seemed ok in the manufacturers video.

I was able to get a shipping quote after adding additional weight to bump the shipment to the next weight class, which allows for larger sized boxes..However,shipping is about $103.00!! Kinda takes the fun out of the purchase, and even harder to justify to wifey, especially with a HK Sport Jet 70 currently in transit. It sucks that the box with the plane alone is just. 2mm over limit. You'd think HK would modify the boxes to accommodate the size/weight restriction, or stock the jet in their US warehouse, = even more sales.

I got a stock alert email from HK@ 01:00. I check the stock level on the website, and it was @ 10+. Went back to sleep. Up @ 05:00, checked stock level again, and it was @ -1. Maybe somebody in the States needs to make a 120 mm version of this beast. Might be sitting on a little gold mine.

IMO you should wait a bit, its not a fast build so you wont need it for a while...Extreme RC I understand are working on a combo which I'm sure will be of excellent quality & price.
The HET 3675-1-16xx kV on 6S you mentioned elsewhere has been tested on Post 328 in the CS90/12 thread. If you can live with the amps then you will have a lively Viper.
Me.....combo from X-flite just to get it in the air at this stage.

Thinking an Arc 1680kv 36mm motor,
I can't wait, should ship next week , this will be the biggest plane I have ever flown. Not bad for a guy who couldn't fly a little over a year ago. I tried small planes , but once I found edf's and the speed it became all clear
