Real Flight 3.5 to 5.5 upgrade
I have Real Flight 3.5, which I am quite happy with. However, I note that for $80, I can upgrade to 5.5. Question is, what benefits do i get with the upgrade? I am presently getting interested in soaring (thermaling and sloping) but also do motored flight. Is the sloping any better? Is there a viable thermal option?
Only other question that comes to mind: is it easier to modify planes: change weight, sub trim, or control surface movement. Thanks for any insight. |

Editing aircraft is roughly the same. It's the best editor available in any sim, if you know how to use it. With G5, you'll get thermals, glider tow, and bungee launch. You also get the 5 AddOn (not Expansion Pack) disc content for free, and access to the entire swap pages, where thousands of free aircraft files are available. G5.5 also includes float planes and water airports. The kiddies enjoy the combat features of G5, though I don't care for it. For only $80, I'd say it's a no-brainer.
