Josh,
No throttle calibration is required when the ESCs are flashed with this firmware. The throttle range is hard-set in code to the standard 1000Ás-2000Ás so all the ESCs have the same endpoints. I think the Xaircraft FCB has a different range so it would require changing the throttle range properly in the firmware as mentioned in a previous post: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showp...5&postcount=41
Cheers,
Jim

Thanks to all who made this, it is very much appreciated

it would be nice if hex files were included to make life easier for newbs who dont want to struggle with compiling and assembling. i was very thankful for Kapt K extending that courtesy.

i have downloaded 40 or so zip files in the last couple days and less than half included hex. for example https://github.com/sim-/tgy from page one of this thread.

problem is many gurus from the old days of d&d/castle wolfenstein etc think its a great "adventure game" to fiddle with .h and .inc files etcetra and enjoy watching newbs chase their tails. not so much fun for non-hackers like me.

- go to https://github.com/sim-/tgy;
- click on big "Downloads" button at top right;
- right click on file "tgy.hex" and click Save link as...

Great "adventure game", isn't it...
Those steps are also in the very first post, which has all needed information.

yes, thanks. i already got to that "level" and repeating it here is bound to help a few. not criticizing anyone particular but it would be nice if they mentioned hex in the link or better included it in the zip. some sites have no hex at all. i've been flashing many plush 6a over past couple years and will say this is one of the best threads on the subject.

I know, but that one works for sure too, and it was also mentioned in the first post, so if one reads carefully through it there would be no need to download 40 or so zip files.

Totally agree, I was hesitating to flash my ESCs for a long time but that thread convinced me to do it.

That is a cool looking frame, nice to see a unique design.

I am in the same boat. Previous threads had to many bricks in them. This one made the decision to try it allot easier. I can't afford any bricks.

i never saw the first post. search led me to the one with the zip file and unfortunately no mention of hex there or in the link. if it wen't for your "hint" i never would have found any.

it is virtually impossible to read all copter threads from the start. they are massive as are the many 9x and frsky threads which is where most of my zips came from.

you dont know how useful they are until you load and try. i just skip any that have no binary. unfortunately they usually have to be downloaded and examined just to find this out.

i've been at the current project for months and only scratched the surface due to the size of these threads. maybe 1% so far.
