Well, yes, and no. Akihabara isn't the place it was even 10 years ago but it's true there are a few shops selling this stuff. My disability is that I don't really know enough Japanese to be able to ask for exactly what I want or understand where to find it. The other problem is that those shops shut at 6pm (I finish work around 6:30 @ the earliest) and I'm always busy on the weekend with the family etc.

What I'm after is the same clear stuff that ImmersionRC use on their Video TX. It's slightly hard/stiff compared with the more standard polyolefin (I know where to get most sizes of that in Aki'ba' [here]). Likely it's the same or similar stuff that they use on PET bottles for the label...

So now the famous F-20A and F-30A have been out of stock for quite a while.
Looking for some alternatives in the HK store or somwhere around any ideas!?
Yes TC, I know they are the best affordable but still there must be somebody around that is copying them...
Why there is nobody copying when you need it?

BTW is anybody in the U.K willing to ship me an HK order as apparently they are only available in the UK....?

Guys, is this a good ESC to put SimonK firmware? I'm already using 30A Blue Series, but I would like to know if 40A blue series is as good as 30 one.

Before flashing my ESC, i was wondering about the benefit of SimonK firmware...

On me RCtimer 40A, it made my quad not flying but kind of floating in the air! This is the best noticeable upgrade i've ever done on quad.

Thanks to Simonk and all other clever folks how made it possible.

thanks for asking jesolins, yes i did ESC cal ( with EPA set to 125%) and i'm using mutliwii. All motors start perfectly at the same time

before that i did ESC cal with EPA set to 100% and it was not meeting the 1000/2000 range for MWC (strange behavior, motor not starting at the sametime and motor stop at low throtle even if commented in MWC but still flying smootly

HobbyKing BlueSeries 20a and 30a are great too and in stock.
And with this its super easy!

Well it certainly took a while to make the pogo adapter - it looks fine but doesn't work. I've checked all the pins for continuity back to the USM card pins and it looks as if it's making good contactwith the pads but no joy.

I wish I had the soldering skills to solder a set of pads in under one minute - maybe I will after I've flashed 12 ESCs! Now - I need some more powerful reading glasses and some thinner wire...

Same here but the HobbyKing BlueSeries 12a are harder to do because they don't have pads and you have to go straight to the chip's pins. smaller too.

Between me and a friend we have ten 12a and five more on the way for him lol
He started to solder one and one of the pins of the atmega lifted from the pcb! :O

So I'll wait lol
