Could you not implement a PID cloded loop?...

Depending on the motor, etc., it probably makes more sense to implement pulsed braking again first. I was going to do this, after a few other things.

Also, is it common for RC car radios to have the thumb brake these days? Mine sends a really short pulse with that pressed (~800µs) -- it might be nice to support harder braking on that and not actually transition to reverse. Also, drag brake is useful (light pulsed brake when in idle throttle). The only other thing is that the adjustable start power is probably fairly important. I think a 25% duty limit to start is probably a bit low in some applications, depending on gearing, etc. It's still pretty easy to slip the differential in my RC10, though. Yours is probably geared a lot more?

no it's just a GUI interface that uses avrdude. It builds the avrdude command string piece by piece when you select what programmer/esc you have.
Now can you add a fuse screen, for changing the Int/Ext oscillator and eeprom retain (keep calibrations)

yea I use that one 2, but was thinking it may be good to have a simple selection in the flash gui. Something to read the current settings, and then just have simple selection for example if a external oscillator was added to change this. For normal flashing they should be left alone anyway and will work fine

Ya. I dunno if there's a difference for fuse numbers for atmega8/a/l, if there isn't, current stuff could be read out and just bits masked for extosc/whatever without giving the user too much power to screw stuff up. Could be a worthy addition.

i just receive new rctimer 30 amp for my hexcopter (MK)

and one of the 6 motor start later than the other 5. i calibrate by both rx and i2c converter and still motor start late.

so i move my tx subtrim up by +20 and now all motor start about the same time.

anyone know what is happen here and my solution is good????

Thanks Pat. RCTimer 2830/14 750 kv motors and the DJI Naza FC. Very impressed with just the Naza default gyro settings. A true "400" esc makes it possible;-)

Hobbyking SS Series 25-30A ESC

Hi guys,

i tried to flash some Hobbyking SS Series 25-30A ESC with tp.hex.
3 of 4 ESC work with the same configuration. But one worked for
the fist 30sec. Now i have to set brown out to 2,7V and i think one ore more of
the fets damaged.
This esc worked very well for more than 10 flights. I take my tests with current limit.

Someone else with the same esc or similar problems?

How to config the esc with tp.hex?

Now i tested a second esc with prop on Copter. After some trys motor stops and jitter. The
esc generates a magic smoke.... Someone a idea?

Georg.

on 21st of november, I flashed some 20A mystery blue and some 18A plush. I seem to remember I used the most recent version from Github at the moment (BS.hex and TGY.hex), but not really sure, workshop computer is a mess - is there a way to work out version number from the .hex file (besides of course comparing versions line by line..)

There has been some talk about glitches... Do I need to change FW?

As a side note my Plush12A is still flying glitch-free on TGY.hex from 2011-09-06

Thanks!

Jussi
