Supply power to Video splitter and Recorder ?
I have this Step up / down volt regulator that I would like to use, to supply 12 volt to both my Recorder and my video splitter. But I'm not sure if the Regulator can handle it.
I know that my recorder use about 900mAh, but the video splitter, I only know this - Specifications: Video input level:2.0Vpp Power supply:12V Output level:0.5~1.5Vpp Output impedance:75ohm My Regulator says this - Output current: Typical - rated current 2A, short 3A (less than 1 minute) Do you know if it would be possibly to let the Regulator supply 12volt to both the splitter and recorder ? |

Most splitters use minuscule power. That regulator should handle both, just fine.
If the recorder has a hard drive, that's the biggest power sucker, and it may spike over 2A, but probably not for long. ian |

The recorder I have is this one DVDirect VRD-MC6. I know that it use about 900mAh and 12 volt input. It still works when I supply it with a fully charged 3s (12.6 volt), so I'm not sure if I should use a regulator to supply only 12 volt, or if it would do any harm, if I keep use 12.6 volt from a 3s.
