help! on vintage robot rider on rc motorcycle

Hi guys from the Robotics forum. I have an ultra rare vintage rc motorcycle (fuji quarter 19 from 1972) which originally came with a robotic rider but the one i manage to find is missing it but i have many photos of how it look internally which i will be using to reconstruct with the help of a metal grinding machine shop in the next town from where i live. My question to many of you who very well knowledgeable in this area that can help me with the components needed to put this together. how it works and if there is something that my pictures don't show how it may supposely may be set up

in this two photos it shows the battery holder with the snap-on cable connection which i pressume its use with the batteries but i don't know if during the early 1970's the voltage was lower to todays and if they are fit for the motor for its energy supply. Here i found the site for the 2 battery cell snap-on holder.http://www.allelectronics.com/make-a...Holders/1.html

What you are seeing there is basically an old servo design. You could probably replace that with a modern servo, or a hacked servo.
