You should rethink your choice's, when you put those motors with the esc's and the flight controller you will not have much left for battery. The total thrust from all four motors should be at least double your total weight or you cannot stop going down when you descend... You need enough battery for about 8-10 min flight min, which will add weight quick. Look at working examples that others have built and follow which you like instead of jumping into the unknown at first.

Have fun and keep smillin...

I have the same (quite commonly used) power components on my miniquad (with 5x3 props and a 610 mah batt) and it flies fine indoors (+ outdoors on a totally calm day). Sure, it won't fly for 8 minutes but it does have a thrust to weight ratio of more than 2 times (if the HK numbers are correct).

Freakflow, the HK frame you link to is probably far too large for this motor. Plus I don't think the bolt holes are compatible. You need to decide whether you want an indoor or outdoor quad and then there are plenty of build posts that can help you decide on components.

braindead - that's a nice frame! Really have to build me a CNC soon!

Do you realized that the frame may be called a mini quad but there is nothing mini about it?

539 mm wide so that meant the distance from motor to motor is around 20".
You need some 180 watts motor to fly that thing.
Mini quad is around 12" or below from motor to motor.

You need motors in this range:

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbycity/s...F20%5F22L.html

10 X 4.5 or 10 X 4.7 propellers.

18 amps Turnigy Plush speed controller

3 cells 2,500 mah battery pack at 30C or higher discharge rate.

Here is a quad around the same size. It is heavier than the Hobby King wood frame but the size is similar.

I am using a higher kV motor so I am using 8" props.

@ rocketheli Thanks!! I will have some available really soon

@ seismicCWave You are very correct. I didn't see the frame he had posted on the first page. Those motors you listed are awesome little motors and are very popular.

@ freakflow Those motors that I listed in the other thread and the ones you have linked here work great on a mini quad that is very light and small. I would say 9 in. or less.
