NOT AT ALL ;-(
10 calibrations and 7 batteries later, after setting the VR2 pot in all the different position during 2 hours etc... same bad result. The GPS is not working at all for me and for most of the people in this thread.
I had no intereference at all and the GPS led was blue steady.
What should we think ?

I have some thing to share, I've been running my X-copter on one ESC but since Mr Minsoo said to use a UBEC for the Navi I've installed an 11.1V 1300mAh lipo in close proximity to the side where the compass is situated and as I suspected the compass does not work with battery too close to it.

“When I bought my RVOSD Gen1 in 2009 some people were having issue with the GPS and it turned out to be only individuals in the Northern hemisphere, The code writer realised that he had to compensate for the Northern hemisphere in his code. I’m just mulling over as to what it could be with the Navi”.

Any thoughts?

Did you checked at http://www.kkmulticopter.kr/index.ht...ea=navi_manual

------
The method of installation for Sonar

Connect the sonar cable to the pot of the NaviBoard.
Please check the direction of the cable.
It is possible to keep altitude in low altitude 6.5m.

The position of sonar sensor should be toward to the ground and install as far away from the ESC as possible.
---------

The sonar is working with the switch of the 5th channel :
5’th channel : Maintain altitude ( 2’nd switch on,off )

It is more accurate versus the naviboard only when you are flying under 6.5meter.
IMHO, you should do your test outside ;-)

Regards

Pierre

Salut Pierre

I thought that the "altitude hold", was to keep altitude only with the barometer (barosensor). then work both at the same time, right?
I will make a test with more space outdoors.
thanks for the help

Ola Enrique ;-)
yes, that what I think too and my test confirmed that with the sonar, my multicopter are able to hold the altitude above 1 or 2 meter. And when you place your hand under, it react.
I agree there is no clear explanation on how the sonor is working, switch etc... in the text (but you have some video with Minsoo playing with the sonar...)

Did you test your GPS outside ?

I promise to live up to users expectations now and forever

It was on october 7th... 7 days ago... we are then "next week" and still no PC Programmer
and still no news from Minsoo ;-(

I ordered this morning a Wookong-M Multi-Rotor from DJI INNOVATIONS. It is just a little bit more expensive (in fact cheaper if I consider the money I invested and the time I spent on testing the not full working naviboard...) but the GPS is working rock solid... after reading all the thread and testimonies on it.

When I will receive it, and if my 2 naviboard are still drifting when GPS engaged, I will send them both back to Minsoo for a refund.
Yes, I am closed to give up...

Hi All – I’m very despondence at the moment. After spending over 800 dollars with Minsoo and struggling the hole day to get any functionality out of the Navi board – I feel like I wasted a lot of money on something that does not work as advertised. Perhaps I’m just tired and frustrated at the moment. If this tread was up and running before I purchased the Navi board I doubt that I would have ordered it.
I upgraded to beta 1.2 on the Navi and 2.3 on the black board. Nothing changed – I have to keep on trimming to keep the quad level. Altitude hold with the sonar is useless. Just keeps on climbing or shooting straight up. Position Hold is none existing. Goes north or south as it pleases.
One thing I have noticed is that the magtrometer is ultra sensitive. I’ve move the speaker, used a separate battery through a UBEC – raised the board – added a screed between the ECU supply and the rest of the electronics. I feel the same as G2LOG.
I hope Minsoo comes up with new firmware soon.
Regards – Wessie.

good morning everyone.
beta 1.2
2.3 bleu board

It's been a while since I test the navibord.ce I found:
- If I do not do the calibration of the magnetometer, GPS does not initialize.
- I have to gauge each time you restart if gps not ok

Once this is done, the GPS flashes for a while and then arming.

- For sonar, it is effectively coupled with track 5 of the barometer. Once switched on the altitude, the Tricoptere this stabilsateur reaccelerates and if too low descent. it works for me
