Corsair won't be there yet and hold of on the (1700mm!!) stang, because de wing is currently being updated (with a larger rod).

Well, if I remember correctly we never saw any early prototype pictures of the 1700 Mustang either. They just sort of dropped it on us at the Hong Kong hobby show. So, maybe the Corsair will be the same.

If they're smart and monitoring their competition (B/H,L/X) and these threads, they'll know they need to 'one-up' them.
I personally would like to see them do a F2G with the bubble canopy and the whale tail. Oh, well, ....if not i'll just have to do another bash, been there, done that!

Careful what you wish for..... According to the FMS P-51 1700mm thread that is exactly what they are supplying.

As long as they read up on the BH 63" Corsair thread and learn from their mistakes (crappy electronics and retracts) then they should have no problem blowing BH/LX's version away.

the jack screws is actually a very simple item that can be added to any plane.

Folding wing planes

I figured now that LX came out with the folding wing corsair there will be many folding wing planes to follow, so I was searching for some planes that had the wing folded mechanism, and that haven't been modeled to death. for example there has to be at least 20 different f-4u corsairs that have been modeled for rc planes over the past years. So I was looking for something else that looks good in the WW2 era and had folding wings, and i came across a really nice looking Carrier base bomber named the SB2C Helldiver. So i looked all over the interned and couldn't find any foam rc planes of this type. This plane not only looked great but also performed well. So if any of the rc manufactures are reading this this would make a great looking folding wing rc plane.
Here is a short video of the only flying SB2c Helldiver left on the planet. Plus a few pictures of this beautiful bird

Hi,
It's been a while and still no news on this subject. Does anyone know if this model is about to go live?
I have seen it advertised on a german website, just to reserve the item, not yet released for sale.
Cheers,

Dave,

I spoke with a rep for FMS recently and he told me they don't have photos yet because the plane isn't ready. So no word on how far out it is going to be. Taking an educated guess, my assumption is that FMS has read all about the failures of the Lanxiang F4U Corsair with folding wing and are making sure theirs doesn't follow suit. I'm sure the wait will be more than worth it.
