Well I see BH rushed to get more Blue Birds in but still no PARTS!!!!!

After a couple weeks of rain and snow, the clouds parted and I immediately got my Corsair strapped in and off to the school. I'm excited for more of you to get this bird, she's a real jewel. On the landing I kept a little power on and with full flaps she came in so slow and easy on rails to the softest 2-pointer...It's almost too good to be true.

So who knows when I'll get my next chance to fly her again. Rain's coming in tonight.

Well my tail wheel retract servo no longer works. I believe Aros had some difficulty with his. I pulled the servo out which was difficult because it was screwed in and then glued with some of the glue on the screw heads. Moving the retract control rods takes a great deal of force, so no wonder the servo burned out. I replace it with a digital servo which can be programed as a retract servo with 180 deg of motion. Moving to the inner hole probably gives twice the torque of the original servo with the same linear motion.

I also noticed that the elevator servo does not hold trim very well. Every flight it seems to need 4 clicks of adjustment. So that servo got tossed also.

Sorry to hear that...Yeah, on my first one, I was having issues with the tail wheel in general but I have had no problems with #3. I feel fortunate because it would be a bear to mess with that servo. Glad you upgraded.

Is the stock ESC and UBEC worth keeping or should it just be replaced? The Diagram on page 16 is confusing because I dont see any of the UBEC wires connected to the main battery wire. Is it as simple as removing the red wire from the ECS to the RX and its go to go? It appears there may be an internal BEC that could or should be deactivated.

I typically just replace these items, but if it is worth using I would go that route.

I see two ways to do it but not sure which has worked best for everyone out there.

Krash thanks , I am assuming I can use this gear in my wood kit P40 without the sequencer , I will test it with the hopes of not buring it out

I passed on it Aros, sorry to let you down but it was a hard decision. I chose to get the Freewing ME262 twin 70mm and should be here next wk. I'll get this corsair at some point, but ill just get to watch vids for now

I'm so glad it's not the end of the world. I would have been LIVID if I didn't live long enough to see FMS warbirds in the 2200+ class!!
