I can confirm that, as expected, the MicroHeli feathering shafts are a perfect fit for the Tarot 250 FBL head - mine arrived today and a quick hover in the garden has proved that everything is working OK after my crash-test .

Interesting cost comparison - the MicroHeli feathering shafts from Fast-Lad in the UK - $10 for a pack of 2 shipped, the Tarot ones from Infinity Hobby $5 shipped for a pack of 3 !!

Thanks, Mike. I'm hoping the Microheli shafts are much harder than the Tarot ones. At 3mm it really shouldn't bend in a crash, if it's high hardness. I'd gladly pay $10 for two if that's the case. That's why I use Align shafts in all of my helis.

I know what you are saying, but I have a slightly different view I have a 450SE V2 with a Beastx and a Trex 450 FBL head, just about every crash has caused the ball to pull out of the rotor grip (pulling the treads out of the grip arm), so I need to buy a new set of grips each time at almost $30. I was worried that the same would have happened with the 250 head - but much happier to have the feathering shaft bend.

I subsequently bought some Tarot arms that are exactly the same for the next crash - at about half the price, but still a lot more expensive than the feathering shafts

I know that the real answer is not to crash as much, but that doesn't seem to be an option

The feathering shaft bending is not going to stop other damage from happening. It's just going to add the cost of a feathering shaft to the repair bill, and a real hassle to get it out if it bends both sides.

OK, to get this back on topic, Here's a physical look inside.
Sorry about the slightly out of focus shots.
I have new extension tubes and they offer no auto focus and very limited DOF.

And here is the very interesting part, whatever was on top of that chip information wise has been sanded off, it was still dusty.

Thanx for guiding us back on topic.

I HATE deviation!

I have a theory about the "sanded chip syndrome".

Chips are made in BILLION dollar clean houses and I suspect that when a "run" is completed that has been consigned, perhaps that run is allowed to continue for a certain number.

The chip house then stores same and that device miraculously raises it's ugly head to the highest bidder!

We are in possession of "rogue chips"!

I just received my 2 and now they come with both english and chinese instruction manuals.
Just amazed at the size of it , as my other FBL units are all much larger.
Plan on trying it on my 700 but first have to install the head and get it setup correctly, very excited to see how it does on a much larger heli though.

Will the HXT900's work on the cyclic of a 450 with this FBL controller?.... i've read through this topic and my wallet is itching really bad!... what a shame it is empty for the coming two months. No matter , many fun projects working on now to keep me occupied untill i can order this.
I will go for the 250 head combo first, and perhaps upgrade my 450 later on.

What, talking about an FBL head, supplied with the FBL controller, in a FBL controller thread is off topic.

As the thread starter I encourage anyone to talk about anything to do with FBL in this thread.

Inverse... Desmogod, now I get it. Thanks for the pictures.
