Yes, and it did work, but not well. Its supposed to be a Shinden, Japanese experimental fighter at the end of the war. It had a problem with control and so did this one. Was fun though. Jim

Damn servos just crapped out!!!! My hitec elevator servo just crapped out one me. The hs65mg. I am very low on cash these days. What servos are you guys running on a fbl setup that are cheapys but are pretty decent and will last. These hitecs have been through hell and back. Anyone know of a cheapo servo that will do the same. Remember. running it fbl and 450 cyclic. Thanks!!!!

If you can wait a month these are ok.

IMO you cant beat the Hitec hs65mg. I would just get another one.
You can save a little by getting a used HB gear version and swapping your gears into it

Received ZYX S 3 weeks ago, with no instruction manual managed to configure heli and hover ok, took my eye off the ball while swapping from rate mode to HH in garage, Heli took a blade strike, fitted new blades, shaft and new Hitec 65MG servo, now rebuilt but unable to connect to gyro through USB dongle the USB will slowly blink a blue light , I’m using coms port 2 checked on devise manager all seem well, gyro still has beginner settings working but I’m unable to go back in and reconfigure it, message pops up saying (no gyro connected no data sent) any advises would be appreciated.

Ok that was yesterday now reinstalled software and firmware and its same as above
Help!

Apologies if I’ve posted this in the wrong thread

Anyone know if there is a ZYX app for the iPhone to use with the bluetooth adapter like they have for Android?

Also wanted to see if I could get some feedback on something my heli has been doing.

On my last few hover checks, I noticed the heli would drop about 2 or so inches then jump back up all of a sudden with no change in the throttle stick. It would do this every 10 seconds or so during the hover. Almost like something was skipping. I've looked over all the gears and pinion and all looks good. Could it be something with the gyro, ESC or static(belt drive)?

While I love miracle mart I must point out that hobby king is still slightly cheaper if you use a buddy code from rcsearch.info for the zyx

It is better not to connect the servo until you finish on choosing the right servo. No harm actually, because the default value is analog servo, but better disconnect the servo first.
Yes, I've been through that pain. My servos are all digital but the software gives choices of different signal frequescies of digital servo. I found it's pretty obvious when you get it wrong becaise the servo just runs off the end of it's travel and stalls out

Now it's the time for setting up the swash plate and making sure the servos and gyro operate in the right direction... This is the hard bit for a heli newbie like me

If the gyro doent get the signal it's expecting from the Rx then all three lights will come on solid and stay on. In that state you cant connect the software. Have you tried the procedure I posted a page back: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showp...postcount=6522

It could also be that the wires from the receiver arent connected up properly.

ZYX-s or Robird G31?

I'm getting ready to order a controller. These two seem like the ones to go with. But which one?

I'm going to use it on a 450pro clone with HS-65 cyclics and Futaba s9257 tail. I'm just a sport flyer, no 3D.

Thoughts?
