I'm running a HK blue series 20A ESC with 2A linear BEC in my 250 with the ZYX. I'm using DS410's and a DS95i, and no problems with the BEC. Yes it gets warm on the ground. I cut the heatshrink away from around the 2 linear regulators (7805), to allow them to get rid of the heat better.

Gosh, I though marketing it with a head was a clever move. I wonder why they are stopping it. It's not like they weren't selling.

I think CopterX will clean up with Tarot's box being so far away. $30 for the CX-3X1000 gyro and $50 gyro/program box combo and the gyro in a metal case. I've looked at both the boards, the components and quality are identical.

I wonder how much the Tarot programming box will be. I suspect they will only sell programming boxes now to people that already have the ZYX installed.

This looks to be the same programming box. The pricing was the same before the fbl head & gyro were sold together.

The programming board looks a little more like the Copterx box - the buttons are underneath the screen rather than at the ends. They both work exactly the same however.

from the article's screenshot, it seems like tarot's zyx is PC programmable (maybe via the program box). Is copterx capable of doing that?

I am not aware that the Copterx is programmable from the PC at the moment, perhaps that is an enhancement that will come for them all as they seem to be from the same OEM manufacturer

eHirobo has stated that the CopterX unit will have a USB programmer soon. They are working out some bugs with the software.

Excellent - it would be good to be able to store the set-up on my laptop in case of problems

Sorry, Mike. I think he was talking about the CopterX unit.

That was my guess, but I was hoping to be proved wrong - I'd love to get a prog box for the ZYX - it is still flying really nicely, but I'd like to be able to get to all of the menus

Ordered a Tarot ZYX FLB/450-head combo Wednesday night, arrived Friday morning (today) in the AM via FedEx. Outstanding :-)

Expecting my 250 combo to take a few more days via EMS (Infinity got stock about 8 hours after I ordered the 450 size, so just HAD to make a 2nd order , lol)
