The sunday meeting

Our San Jose location was very very cool sunday!

There was about 7 or 8 of us there!

Many 1:8 scales and a number of 1:5 scales.

Oh, and welcome Ean! (hope I spelled your name correctly)

We missed John's presance also and THANKS FOR LETTING ME USE YOUR 3300's for the weekend!

We hope more can come out and say hello and race around.

The track was nice and big...technical also. It was a great day weather wise.

RCMA= (Radiio Control Motorcycle Association)

Attendance: Ken,Sam,myself (Kevin),Ray,Dave,Ean,

Yea, the "owner"/"Moderator" was very nice and quick when it came to the suggestion of this forum toppic....

More fun than the yahoo site in my opinion. Can't wait to see things get going!

Check this out

Hi Kevin,

I'm also a member of a forum called - www.rctech.net - i started a thread on 1/5th scale bikes, it's in the - Australian Racing- forum near the bottom of the forums page, once your in you might have to look for it on page 2 or 3...! The funny thing is, this site has exactly the same layout!!!

The forum is mainly all car related but drop a line or two to help support the bikes in OZ...

Maybe put that group pic of you guys in the carpack at San Jose?... only if your cool with that...

Thanks Kev...

Eureka!!!

Hey All,

Just found out why my steering on the HOR binds as soon as I put on the rider. Turns out the servo horn is slipping on the metal gear of the servo. The horn is not stripped; it's just too flimsy to withstand the speed of my servo (Hitec HS-81MG) and added pressure of moving the rider.

So, I changed the servo gears to plastic, shoo gooed the horn on, and turned down the speed of the servo -25% on my transmitter. I'll try and install the thing when it dries.

Also Kev if you want the HOR plated frame set it's on Tower. I'd get it for your static model, but for your running model the chrome coating makes the frame more brittle than stock (from personal experience). Stick to stock.

-Ian
