Is there any anti vibration material inside the cube?

No, it doesn't need to be. Everything is hard-bolted to the center cube (red in my drawing). The cube itself is suspended between some foam-like material inside the plastic casing. This is the correct way to do it. Sensors cannot move relative to themselves, and have some vibration dampening from the foam inside the outer case.

Sounds like your pretty happy with what you've found so far... Have you had a chance to fly with it yet?

No, I need to find a frame big enough to stick it on
I might reuse my MK-quad for this though. I'm not in too much of a hurry ~

Something like that.
Lol! Not bad for a scheme with a mouse and mspaint

Ok, so maybe DJi guys will someday implement PPM (hope so). What bugs me is the escs story; I mean, what is THE thing in the esc that would change everything? TC, what do you think about that?
And will you try your own ones on it?

Cheers, and again, great work

TC,
Yes it would be very interesting if it were only possible to be able to do a file compare with a few other GPS multicopter firmware's out here to see what is actually DJI "proprietary"...since the IMU components are the same as other known good working multicopter(s). Encryption is one way of hiding that fact.
So maybe $300 of PCBs, boxes, hardware and the rest for firmware and advertising and a few Mercedes... Looking forward to your flight testing too

BTW, check the voltage of the GPS backup battery to see if it is below 2v. That might be why some of the Gents were not getting quicker GPS lock on after a re-power. If so they just need to leave the units powered up for a few hours by at least a 12v 1A power source to charge it to 3v.
Cheers,
Jim

I dunno man, here's my LEA-6S module next to it for comparison.
I'm not aware of LEA-xx stuff coming in any other form factor.

timecop good work!

What about IMU algorithm? DCM, Kalman? Quarternions/Euler angles?
Do it have horizon drift when copter makes turn (centrifugal force appears and effects on accelerometers)?
I cant see any advantages and features for this price..
