Thanks Scott and your welcome!
I really like the Genius CP so far.
Want to see how it flips, rolls, and inverts.
Once I get comfortable flying the Genius I'll take it up to the field
and flip and invert it and take video.

I am shooting some video now of a complete helicopter overview of the heli which is close-ups of all angles and without the canopy.
The one I did for the mCPX came out very nice.

Nice Job on the review/pics/specs posting here. I appreciate that you didnt tell me where to buy, as my HighSpeed internet connection and Google work just fine Plus there are site sponsors embedded in the threads already for that. A review is a review, and avertisement is an advertisment, a review with and advertisement is a commercial for a dealer and the sponsored reviewer should be paying back the Forum with a site sponsorship if thats what he choses do to. Hey, dont get mad at me I dont make the rules.......LOL Thanks again and Keep up the good work This is how it should always get done.

Thanks!
Like I have said before buy from who you like. I have suggested for people to read
the forums on dealers to help make a choice who you would like
to do business from or not. This is what I do myself.

Great job flying!
Your the first one I have seen use a HP03S motor. Haven't heard of it before.
Looks like it has plenty of power.

Added some videos and outdoor pictures to the review.
The Genius is dark and it is hard to get bright pictures of it
so I took it outside to get some brighter pictures.

Improving the sluggish tail

Hi Tom, hope you don't mind if I post here about helping with the sluggish tail issue that I and a few others have reported. (Sorry if someone else got here first but I want to report what I found before I forget what I changed )

Just to clarify, I have the WK2801 version and am using a WK 2801 Pro TX.
The issue I wasn't very happy with was that the tail seemed to have a v.slow piro rate, especially going clockwise(cw) [nose right/tail left].

It seemed like the tail motor just didn't have enough power at first but then you realise that the tail does have the power because it never blows out even under extreme pitch pumps. So I'm guessing this is an RX issue. I think I've only read of people reporting this on the WK2801 version though. After spending some time messing with the pots on the RX and it not making any difference, I started messing with the RUDD trav.adj. on the TX.
First I confirmed that the tail will inverse its direction should you change L to higher than 100% [that affects the counter-clockwise(ccw) nose left/tail right movement] {see additional note below}. What I did find though was that I can increase R to 140% and not get the sudden reverse direction change. This also does definitely increase the cw piro rate and I'm much happier now I can spin the heli both ways at a reasonable speed. Still not super fast but much more manageable for quick recovery to tail-in flying for us still low down on the CP flying learning curve
For faster cw tail piro rate set:
Trav.Adj: RUDD L 93% R140%
D/R&Exp Rudd D/R: 100% Exp: -50%

Note: I haven't gone higher than 140% so you may still get sudden reverse direction change for cw if you go higher - YMMV.
Note2: I found I still got sudden reverse direction change for ccw even at L 100% when I had a lot of right rudder trim set. My guess is that the reversal kicks in if the RX gets 'any' signal over 100%. I've therefore set my L to 93% so I can leave the right trim on and not get the sudden reverse direction change at max right rudder stick position. I seem to need the trim as I get ccw drift with the trim centred.
Note3: And this is to myself - trying all this over a tarmac car park wasn't the smartest idea I have had... now have bent landing skids, a part cracked tail fin and very tatty rotor blade tips.

Hi Antony, feel free to post any Genius topics here including the TX, TX settings, tips, mods, etc.

Also anyone else is welcome to post there Genius review, pictures, videos, TX settings, tips, mods, etc. in my thread.

My review has been updated once again with more information including a Genius VS mCPX section. I now have flight times but want to
fly one more battery before I post times.

Thanks! The heli has been fun to review.
I have the TX settings tweaked pretty good and have the swash adjusted perfect with zero pitch at mid stick.
My outdoor flight today went well.
The heli is very stable and smooth in flight. Did some fast sharp turns
around my yard and the heli performed great.
Next I will flip and invert it. I can't 3D it to really test the performance
of the heli but by the videos I have seen it looks to 3D well.
Once I get done with flipping and inverting tests I will convert it to brushless! I have everything here I need to do it.
The heli is very dark and doesn't show too good in videos. I will film it though.
I am now working on the Devo 7 settings and a step by step video setup for it.
