Doesn't Greg sell the OrangeRX receivers? I have one on one of my other planes and once I got it properly separated from the ESC, it has performed flawlessly.

You know, I wondered what those unbent pieces were for. I ended up running a drill bit through the holes, just ever-so-slightly enlarging them, and the CF rods fit great. I feel kind of silly here, cause I've been assembling GS ARF's for the past 3 years, and when it comes to foamies I have all these questions... And BTW, this one's for Greg again. A 4 channel receiver is what I'll need for this, correct?

I have 4 and 6 channel receivers in stock. I don't have them on the site yet as they were kind of an add on item for the local guys. You might as well use the 6 channel as I can get them cheaper than the 4 channel. It must be that the 4 channel is lighter and harder to make than the 6?

This plane can use either a 4 or 6 channel. I prefer a 6 channel on the dual aileron setup for flying in our climate. We have extreme temperature swings and it makes life easier to be able to trim out the ailerons in the radio rather than a mechanical adjustment.

Here is an link to unofficial WMPF build instructions for our planes ... is close to being done but I have a little more tweaking to do in the text to make it apply to all our airframes. This should help get you pointed in the right foamy direction.

The Mcfoamy XL has a new look and an old favorite added to the lineup.

One screams the Care Bears are coming ... it is for an 11 year old little lady

The Flame Paint job can be ordered in the standard colors just like the original McFoamy.

Finally the wind gave in this morning and I was able to get out and enjoy the McFoamy XL again. Been awhile since I flew it but I was happy to fly her again. Boy I made a lot of mistakes and "landed" nose first a few times. The XL took a beating this morning but flew great, this plane is an awesome flyer, and no fear practice plane that I enjoy having in my hanger.

That's because you're not engaging the Brony customer base

Question guys:
I've powered up the plane for the first time with the big yellow prop I got from WMPF. Held vertical, and at full power, the plane does not want to accelerate upwards from my hand with any real authority, unlike my 40" Juka, which is actually kind of hard to hold while doing the same test. Batteries are fully charged, throttle is set at 100% on the TX. Is this normal for this motor/battery set-up? (I realize the Juka/WMPF comparison may not be apples to apples, but it's just what I'm used to)
