Reaper, that receiver has the micro connectors on it. You will want to go with standard servo connectors on a airframe this size.

I would go with the Orange six channel and set up for flaperons, that way you can tune the ailerons in the radio instead of at the servo connection. And you wont need the added weight of the Y connector. We have some of the six channel receivers as well as the 4channel's in stock, just not on the web site yet.

Don't bother removing the case to that receiver. The XL isn't going to notice a couple grams. It's such a forgiving airframe that I think bdiesel3 even flew his with a 3s/1500 which is twice the recommended 3s/750 battery.

I did fly with the bigger battery, though I prefer the 3s 750 to 800mah.

r/cdawg and I went out to fly on our lunch break today and here are a few pictures of him flying his Mcfoamy XL. It was alittle breezy but the plane handled it well.

Thanks for posting the pics bdiesel3. It was a lot of fun, wind and all, especially for a bonus day in November here in Michigan. Hopefully we'll get another one (or two) yet this year.

Wife ordered my X-Mas McFoamy this morning! I finished it off with a HobbyKing order for the Orange receiver, servos, and prop saver. Also ordered up four 3S 800 mAh 20C Gens Ace LiPos from HobbyPartz. Just need to get some props on order from Tower and I should have everything I need to finish off the build.

$5.00 to ship $12.00 in props... So it goes. At least with the 6 prop bundle it was more like bye 5 get 1 free. 6 should last me a good while anyway.

Everything is now on order, the waiting game begins.

Now that I'm going to have 4 of these 3S 800mAh Gens Ace packs to charge one of these ParaBoards might be a nice addition to my Thunder AC680 charger.

Made a trip over to Lowes this afternoon to pick up some Welders Adhesive. Of course they don't have any. Same goes for my local WalMart... Looks like I'm going to have to make yet another order, this time for glue.
