This is shot in Holland, near utrecht. Warp stabilizer was used on 30%.

How is the NEX5N mounted to the quad?

Very nice footage.

It is mounted to a dji wookong controlled hexa with a mktr mount. Only roll stabilisation is activated.
Here are some pictures of the machine.

Nope...just hang it out there and fly it like you already crashed it. This is how I look at all of my cameras for AP. I buy them, look long and hard and visualize them in a million pieces and already gone. This way I can fly without hesitation and take risk to get the shots I want. We went out a few weeks ago in freezing weather, over water, at a local Dam. We are talking total loss if a motor fails here Smart?? Probably not, but I get shots that are not possible by any other means

I have yet to fly mine, but it will be under a Y-6

I have flown my y6 with one motor out and it flys well, now I have not loaded it up and test it

I have a hard time losing $1k worth of gear, but I will have 2 Y-6s soon so a failure will be less devastating.

Also I would like to put flotation devices on it so if I down it in water it will be easier to retrieve.

I have some keychain floats that will keep 1k from sinking. They are light and small so a couple would keep me from having a total loss in some situations

just make sure it is a 5n and not a 5 if you want the 1080p 60fps

Hey Jeff! Got a question to you! I am an historian & photographer working on a project about the former Hitler's Headquarters (FHQu "Wehrwolf") nearby Vinnitsa in Ukraine. Went already several times on different expeditions; last time did shooting with my Hexa-XL and some GoPros (one standard and one with a 67 special lens). Due to very bad weather conditions (snow - frost) and an awful crash at the end, came back with bad results.

We want to move on to another cam. Our weapon of choice would be the NEX-7 but is is nearly impossible to get over here.

Is there another choice? Is the GH2 a worthy alternative? Or rather the NEX-5? Or should we simply have patience and wait until the NEX-7 is on the shelves?

Our main goal is STILL pics - video shooting is not important! Good clear and crsip STILLS (for map-making - photogrammetry etc.)

Which cam & objective should you advise?

Looking forward! Many thanks - Martin

Great vids guys.
I need a little help on how to get AVCHD footage from the cam and onto Vimeo.
I have just done a short vid using MP4 setting and it is awful.

I have Sony vegas movie studio 9 (I think) and my laptop is about 3 years old. Am I in trouble. LOL
