Curtis P-6E Hawk

I'm with CryHavok,

I love the P-6E Hawk. I have the Sterling and Goldberg kits. I believe the plane is under modeled. It has a beautiful and colorful livery. I would love to see it kitted.

I would also like to see a 40" Citabria, full 4 channel.

Hi everyone. I haven't forgot y'all. Just been really busy.

I want to thank everyone for your suggestions. Lots of great ideas and I would love to do them all.

I've made a decision about the next model. But it's not what you think.

I have started a "top Secret" project that pertains to construction methods. I won't say much more, but if I can make it work, it will allow me to do a lot of new models quickly and efficiently.

Or it could be an absolute disaster. We'll find out before the end of the year.

BTW...scigs30, you're finished model looks great. Better than mine. Lets us know how it flys. I really value your input and I really want to hear what you think. Also...If my new process works out, would you like to be involved in the beta testing?

I am having a problem with the 2 wing spars on each side of the center piece. They do not come out of the center piece straight and that make the wings not fit well at all. I guess I am going to have to fiddle with it to get them coming out straight. Everything else has worked well.

I have a thing for P-26 Peashooters. I semi-successfully designed and flew one for our first fun design and build contest. Would like to build a really nice flying, somewhat aerobatic, Peashooter in the 40-48" w/s range.

The kit was great. This was my 3rd or 4th kit and it went together great.
The only thing I did not like was the landing gear wire- it was not really strong enough for my liking. I was able to strengthen it a little, but if I build another, I will replace it with stronger wire.

I like the Himax HC-2816-0890 Motor that we use in the Extra and PT-17 so I'm thinking of using it again in something with around 300-350 sq." area. Let me know what subjects you would like to see. Can't guarantee anything, but the next model will probably be a classic that is recognizable but has not been done to death.

just ordered the stearman 17, i really don't need another kit right now but just couldn't resist, wow what a beauty

...and a semi symmetrical airfoil for aerobatic agility and pace - holy smokes this thing has got it all

had a look at the manual too and the build looks really ace - a lovely balance of modern laser convenience with just a little old-school technique and finishing to remind you that you did actually "build" it

....and the wings are actually built with sheer webbing between the spars - and proper built-up ailerons too... I can't believe this

and i can't stop lookin' at it

beautiful
