Using the DOSD I finally got my Return home / Auto Pilot dialed in, now its time to start with some loooong range worry free flying.

It's the most wonderful feeling in the world to just turn off your transmitter and wait for the bird to get back into video range.

i just tested out dosd's RTH yesterday in the wind on one of my scratchbuilds. even with 10-15 mph winds it was almost perfect on the stock settings. it just BARELY overshot the turn but corrected itself and flew straight back home from a mile away. what a cool feeling! oh yea and 100% rssi on chainlink is pretty neat too

Yup, no stabilization and it was very very windy. I was surprised at how smooth it went.

Daniel Wee did a real nice job tweaking that firmware. Me think you need to wear a Dragon Labs shirt next time you fly. Email me jmstech1@gmail.com and send me your mailing address along with shirt size.

Awesome! Sending an email now. Have a new video from yesterday to post soon. Flew 2.8 miles out to South Beach and let the plane fly itself the way entire way home and let it circle above. Way freaking cool!

Nice flight.

Now the questions : what motor/esc/propellers/autopilot settings (rotstepgain/aprotgain/rotlimit) do you have?

Thanks, the motor / esc is the recommended electronics for the TS2 on headsuprc.com

I believe I am using 2x 8x6 props, the three blade props didn't cut it. Both my props are normal props I dont have a counter rotating prop on there.

I will make a video either tonight or tomorrow night and scan through my menus so you can see my settings.

Flew 9km roundtrip to the famous South Point. South Beach, Fl. from key Biscayne.
