I see that Jack and Mark are both quoted in the latest (released yesterday) RC Soaring Digest in an article on contest flying. Very cool.

Guys,

I want to apologize for the delay in getting the first run of kits out. My work has changed a bit and become more stressful so by the time the evening comes around I'm beat.

Last weekend I did the first kit to see how packaging in the box would go. I was trying to fit the kit in a 24x4x4 box. The longest parts in the kit is 24" so why waste the space with a 36" box. My reasoning is that shipping overseas is very expensive with a 36" box so I'm trying to be efficient. Well what I really need is a 24x5x4" box. I can just close it but it's like an overstuffed suitcase. Also, with the 24" box I need to fold the plans in half and roll them. So I'm looking into having some custom boxes made. In the meantime just to get the kits out I'm going to put them in a generic brown cardboard box that has plenty of room. I already have some here. Hopefully I will get them done this weekend.

Sorry to be fretting over this stuff but I kind of take pride in the details.

Looks like mine will fly again this weekend... if my SD10-G transmitter gets back from Airtronics. I procrastinated sending mine in for the rf board upgrade and now suddenly, we're having flying weather... DOH!!! I need a flying fix... BADLY!

We had a club contest 2 weekends ago but have not flown since. I need to build a Duet too so I have one.

Just found this thread today.I see one in my future.

Here is a tip for top sheeting:Zip Lock freezer bags filled with sand.They come in assorted sizes,so you can size according to need.I tried water...........bad idea.

+1 on using baggies with sand. Sandwich bags are nicer because they are more flexible - but that makes them more "porous".

I recommend the freezer bags.

Zip lock bags with lead shot works well.
