Yah, 1.0 and above won't work unfortunately. I just tried it in 0022 again and it compiles good. Now rest my friend. You have earned it.

So how was the Dayton airshow? You should come on down to Virginia Beach in mid September to the biggest Naval Air Station in the country! Plus maybe bring me a QTR kit!

Thanx for invite Pylot, but I am back in WAshington state now until Xmas.
No more airline travel plans until then.

I am busy again today, as I just got a shipment of foam. (80 sheets)
Making F-14's and FLYGUYS for an afternoon Post office run.

I am SURPRISED that Office Depot couldnt print to scale from a PDF !?
I alway make my PDF's to 100% scale using the custom size option.
Possibly that particular employee was not too sharp.
If they like jpg's better one can extract that from the PDF but that sounds like the wrong way to go IMHO.

tomtom: which two parts was I/you referring to ?

I've been making little changes to the plans as I build and discover minor improvments.
SO eventually I will be doing reposting.

I found and used the Arduino 0022. I first loaded MultiWii 1.4 and ran the GUI. I really don't know what I'm doing but I played with it and the graph moved. I then loaded the MultiWii 1.7 from post #83 but couldn't get the GUI to work. Are there different versions of the GUI? If so, where can I find the one for MultiWii 1.7? Thanks for the help. I am at least making some progress.

Yes. I'm having trouble with my internet connection so see if AlexInParis has it.

It would be nice if he made all code drops available like the Arduino guys do for their IDE.

///Edit
It finally uploaded.

Thanks for the GUI file. I got it to work. I've been busy building a simple test Quad Copter. Hopefully I can get the board working on it and then put it in my QTR VTOL.

That's a very smart way to go.

Flying your quad as a regular plane first without the arduino stuff in it might be good also to make sure the frame actually does fly.

Also I cut by hand the missing Nose Doublers and Cabin Supports
Those have been included in the new Plans pdf.

Bob
These are the parts I was thinking about. I haven't tried to get the plans printed anywhere else yet. I just wanted to make sure I had all the parts before I had them printed out. I got my first box of ModelPlaneFoam today. It looks good. I'm waiting on my larger motors from HK (DT750s and Plush 30 amp ESCs). What motors are you going with?

So do I need to to some updates or not ?
After the trip to Indy I have kinda lost track of where the plans were at.
Like Did I "say" I fixed them but have not post them yet ?
Or have you found some other errors that I have forgotten about ?

After finishing up my orders and shipping everything out I managed to
make to time for the ESC's. I tested them all with the motors I plans to use.
All Working out of the Box.

I also prepped some Lipos Paks the I had ordered, using my std Connectors NOT theirs :-(

Eventually this is ALL going to come together.

I have yet to test the HK quad board with the LDC built in an 4 buttons.
Thats NEXT :-)

I built a simple Quad X Copter to test my board. I used the too small motors from my QTR VTOL. My luck has not been good, I smoked an ESC and motor. So I'm waiting for parts again. Here's a photo of the Quad before I smoked it.

It happens to all of us. Just part of the fun or at least that's what I tell myself.

Any idea why it smoked? Were you able to test the board in the configurator first before connecting the ESCs and motors up?

I have a BOX full of broken props for all my efforts.

But with your nice clean design and extended prop guarding tips
you wont be breaking nearly as many ! :-)

Smoked ESC sound like TOO many cells to me !
Probably cuz that happened to me recently. :-(
OR you have not pulled 3 out of four of the Power pins !

I think the motor shorted out. I had some trouble with that motor when I had it mounted on my QTR VTOL. I didn't have it tight enough in the mount and it tried to fly away. The wires kind of messed up and it never did act right after that. The wiring in the motor is burned also. I was using a HK KK board and no I didn't pull the power leads on three pins. Should I do that on a KK board also?

Only one ESC/BEC should power your board. Your QTR will need a switching 3 or better yet 5 amp BEC since the ESCs built in BEC won't be powerful enough.
