I've got a little plastic organizer case that I'm using but I'm running out of space.

I want something that will hold all the batteries in separate compartments, my chargers(both very small currently), epoxy, ca, rubberbands, extra nuts, bolts, screws, props and everything else I've accumulated in the short time I've been in the hobby.

Any suggestions?

I use various containers. For large stuff, Home Depot 12 gal bins (the ones w/red top); medium stuff, a Rubbermaid 7 drawer rack; general supplies (covering, wire, tape, connectors, etc.) go in free-standing Rubbermaid bins, small parts in a 36 drawer bin.


My LiPo batteries are stored and charged in an old crockpot. When I transport them I wrap them in 36oz silica cloth ( will withstand 3000 degree heat/fire). My NiMh batteries I put in a Ziplock bag, protects them from inadvertent shorts.

Dubro makes a great electric flight carrying bag. Looks a lot like the soft lunch boxes people have a lot now. It carries my props transmitter, charger, epoxy, batts, small tools, everything. It even has a place to detach and store the antenna on your tx. Great little carrier. I think it about 30.00. ---Navyflier

I use one of those fold out opening fishing tackle boxes. It works pretty well and is easy to switch from truck to shop.
It's about full now though......

Sweet...so are you from West Virginia? Are you one of those people that uses plastic trash bags for luggage as well?

Here is the Charging Box I use, Made it out of scrap wood. With the twin Lead acid Batteries I can field charge for quite awhile, I have now added a Hobbico Quick Field Charger MK II so I can now charge (3) Packs Simultaneously!

Flight box w/ charger, 12v field battery, and lots of extras. A special thanks to my brother-in-law who built it for me.

I just use a small plastic toolbox. Keep spare prop in, rubber bands, red devil knife, clear and masking tape, small flat blade, allen and phillips head screwdrivers. Also batts. My TX has a neck strap. I don't field charge because field is out front door.

A shoe box and my truck's battery is all I need

I have a little plastic flight box (about shoebox sized) which is going to be replaced when my new Sentry 1100 firesafe gets here...I figure I'll be keeping my Li-poly's in it anyway (after seeing the damage they can do, I figure it's worth the investment!)...I don't really have anything planned for field charging though. After all, right now my field is only a couple hundred yards (and 9 stories) away from my dorm room, so I can just return to base when my packs die.

I was thinking of getting another battery to charge off of, what are those that you are using and are they rechargable?

Most often I just go out with a couple of etec packs in my pocket, walk to the park, fly for an hour, and come home.

However, here's a picture of my flight box for the longer flying days. Since this pic I have added a second Apache in there. Everything is velcro'ed in position to keep things from getting messy. Underneath my Dymond charger is my row of HE/KAN packs. The case is simply a plastic handgun case. Under the foam in the lid is a couple of rows of various sizes of props, again attached with velcro seatbelts.

For a field charging battery I have a marine deep cycle lead-acid battery. It lasts what seems like forever. I probably charge it after every 10-15 flying days, which may mean every few months.
