Seriously though the nose might still be 7.5mm diam, I'm not sure, the fuse is fatter than it looks. But it's not an issue since this plane won't be suitable for any FAI sanctioned events.
the radius of the nose seems really sharp no? is it not dangerous?
The FAI rule said for example 5mm minimum for 60" glider and 7.5mm for f3f.

FAI rules dont apply to DS and 99% of DSers are not members of clubs etc. anyway.The great thing about DS is its fast and there are no rules.We are the "1percenters" of the aeromodelling world and the FAI doesnt even recognise any of our activities.
And somehow i think the nose radius whether 7,5mm or 50mm is a moot point when your hit with a full carbon DS plane at 450mph...your going to explode either way...big nose or small.
BTW Sean....absolutely awsome project.I hope this plane takes the big one.
