might pretty much eliminate the torque roll from the frame. its going into my next plane! (I would love to use the F-22 as a test platform actually)
Not enough Watt output. Need around 600 watts.

Yeah, the $35 G40 option looks like the best.

My Home Depot looked at me crazy when I started talking about pink foam, fanfold, blu cor or anything but the R-Tech and foil type.

It all kinda depends on the WEATHER in your area and what the contractor need/want.

My search for Blue again today ended with ZILTCH !

I' will look around in the Portland area again tomorrow.

Do you leave the binding on the foam?

For the stuff Otto used the BINDING stays ON !
It would be way too flimsy with it removed. I just Expanded bead type foam.

The XPS ( extruded) foams stiull have a thin film on them. At least the Pink does.
ANd I remove it for two reasons.
1. it is a lower temp plastic and melts on my Router bit when I'm cutting it.
2. it leave a messy edge when left on and easily peels off
so I presume very littel strength if kept. AKA NO benifit.

BTW Sprnt the day on the river yesterday, however,

I am almost done with my F-22 test build.
Every thing is hinged and I have servos installed.
I'm getting around 600watts with a 9.5x6 MAS prop.

more l8r

So stay tuned.

What sort of "Blue" are you looking for? There are gobs of 1/4" Dow PBII in the Portland area, $38 per bundle.

Just returned from Shipping out another The Twins kit to N.H. !

K2xr10:
1/2" is the thickness that Otto used for his YF-22 and the F-15 and the Sea Dart.

I can get Pink OC brand at Homedepot.

But locally all I see stocked is 3/4" blue or thicker.
I dont WANT to have to hot wire split thicker sheets.
Allied says they either have it or might order it.

But you know the SUPPLIERs song.
Buy a LOAD or go away ! NO sympathy for low volume guys like me.
I'd sooner make them out of 9mm Depron if that's they way they want to play.

But hey ... I thought you were on the ID/NV boarder ?
That's 3/4 of the St of OR away from Portland.
