Belt problems wasp v3
Hi all
I have a recurring problem with the belt on my wasp v3 6 ch.Every time I power up the main rotor the belt develops a twist? I have straightened the belt and tried tightening it up from the boon but it still happens everytime I run it and its driving me nuts!! can anyone PLEASE HELP? thanks Rob |

How does it twist? while i don't have that heli the only way I know for a belt to twist is if the entire boom rototes around. Is the boom slipping? to make the boom tighter in the boom blocks try putting some take around the boom then putting it back in the boom blocks.

difficult to explain maybe I coud upload a vid to show whats going on but its all tight and in place and I can straighten the belt but soon as I put any power through it it twists again and makes the rotors judder Im fearing it may snap as well are they hard to replace what is the procedure for replacement maybe I need to take it apart to try find out whats happening?

How do you know the belt is straight to begin with and that it's twisting?

Well, a belt that's attached to rollers on both ends can't twist. It can snag, bind or jump the roller, but it can't twist. You have something else going on. The tail boom doesn't hold very well on that heli and the tail roller housing is crappy.
