the guy says its 1/4 scale, with a gas motor, but it looks smaller to me with a nitro motor.

Well if it has a 60 inch wingspan it qualifies as Giant Scale but the Antic is NOT a 1/4 scale model of anything. It is a ficticous design. There is no full scale counterpart

I know its not real, just didn't know if he meant imaa legal or not. Or if people did run gas engines on them. It was built over 15 years ago and I don't know what smaller size gas motors they had then.

Interplanet,

I have a large Antic with a RCGF 20cc gas engine. It looks and flies great. Don't know what engine might have been used 15 years ago.

What's the WINGSPAN of your Antic Bipe?

Dear Interplanet:

The PIPE Here - to help you in identifying exactly WHAT version of a Proctor Antic Bipe you've got, you can check at http://www.proctor-enterprises.com/p...e/ant_bipe.htm to find out which version it is by measuring the WINGSPAN of the model.

The dimensions ARE all there...hope this helps!

Yours Sincerely,

The PIPE....!!

Kerwin,

The engine ran perfect right out of the box . The first time I ran it was 10 minutes before the plane"s maiden flight . The weather was cloudy and it looked like rain (jan. 2011). After the plane was assembled, I started it up, let it run for about 2 mins, then with the cries of "just fly it", down the runway it went! The plane plane balanced perfect, and the engine never missed a beat . I flew about 6-7 minutes, then decided to land because the sky looked like it was ready to open up. Just as I got the plane in the car, the rain started. I've got probably another 50 flights since then, and haven't had any problems except one time when it didn't want to run; I flushed it out and then it was fine. The engine has more than enough power for "scale" flying.

I had to pass on the plane, wish i didn't have to, but its to far away, and I cannot get many answers out of the guy except that its old. And its not a screaming deal either way. But it did turn me on to them, I seen an antic mono a long time ago, and could not remember what it was until I started looking for this one.
