Seagull Bellanca Decathlon - 120

Hey guys, hello, my name is Alexandre and I`m from Joinville, Brazil.
I`ll start a new [old] thread from my build from Seagull`s Decathlon 120 size with a 26cc petrol engine.
This build have to be done until begin of november, because i want to show this model in a Scale event here in my city.

http://www.aerocircusescala.com.br/

This will be my first scale build so I decidid to put some scale products that a found nice, like antennas, lights, panel and all the stuffs that can be found in a Decathlon.

I know this is not a BIG model to make in scale, but for my first one I think is great, and I love the Decathlons.

So have a seat and follow my build-log

Thanks

Alexandre, welcome to RC Groups. I just started builtding a Dynaflite Decathlon kit so I will be following your thread to get some pointers. Wow, finished by November. That's a pretty short time span for a scale kit. Good luck on your build.

Yeah Larry short time, but it will take a while to be totally completed. I just want to make some scale things in mine plane to the event.

Today i`ve glued the hinges from the wing and tomorrow i`ll install the servos.
I need to buy some themo-shrink to put in my servo connections.

Hello again people,

Last day i`ve done a lot of progress in my build.
The wings are hinged and with the servo installed.

I decided to use all Spektrum DS821 servos in all the horizontal control surfaces, in rudder i`ll use a Turnigy 620 HS DMG.

Another progress that i`ve is the beacon light that I installed trough the rudder.
I`m using the a Turnigy system to control all the lights, i found really nice beacause the decathlon have a beacon light in rudder, a strobo and navigation light in each wing, and the landing light. For the rudder i`m thing to use the standart led [red one] but for nav and strobe I thing it is a little weak the bright. Monday I`ll go to a electronic shop and buy some ultra-bright leds to use and test the system.
Here is the rudder with the led installed and the wire running trough the rudder.
