Not yet. But there has been sort of an offer made to get it knocked out... I just need the $$ to throw down. It's a great airplane.
I just put in a pool cuz it was the wifes turn if ya know what I mean.
Maybe in Early 2013 I can jump on it and get it airworthy.

I wish there was a decent 4 stroke alternative to the 503.

Very nice!

I'm looking at one with the 503 in it.

How much headache is the smoke system?

My system uses a 12 Volt smoke oil pump I bought from Hodges Hobbies....
I set up a plastic jug with a pick up tube coming from the top...
I have a switch to turn the pump on and off.....
It runs off the 12 volts generated by the magneto.

I tig welded a pipe threaded boss onto the header right before it entered the muffler. I machined a brass fuel line nipple and screwed it in. (just like a larger version of a Nitro RC motor. Then Run a hose from the pump to the nipple.

There is also a petcock to adjust the flow ( I always kept it maxed tho)
right before it goes in the pipe I added a check valve. This helped a lot.

Is it a airworthy bird? Deposit sounds like your buying a kit

Last I heard there was only 22 finished / single seat flying airbikes in the country.

News from Oshkosh. There was a booth there with a guy who is taking Continental engines and using the front have to make an opposed 2 cylinder ultralight engine. He claims 60 HP with 4 cycle dependability.

More news: I just found out the Rotax 503 is not being produced anymore.
