Does FMS / Bananahobby or anyone else sell this part?? I can't find it anywhere.

I broke BOTH of mine (??????) Not sure how they break.

Not that I know of , but I made my own & its pretty simple. Pliers, wire cutters, and piano wire ( think I used .015).

Yea......I'm just lazy. I would want to buy a pack of them because it stopped my flying the rest of the day!!! Stupid things. Going to have to look up wire now. Paper clips are waaay too thick!

When you start selling those v8 please let me know. I've broken several of mine too and I have no clue as to why.

These are a lot stiffer wire and have flex, unlike the originals which do seem brittle and may be why they break when the flex.

I don't know how those link rods are supposed to work on the 1700, but while I was running the LG on my 1400 the other day, I noticed that when the struts bottomed out in the bay and the skirts settled in their grooves, that link would stretch just a bit where the U section is. Sort of like a shock absorber (for lack of a better term). The piano wire used on the 1400 is also .035 ga. as Nick is using on his links. Were the original links .035 as well, or smaller?

The original 1700mm P51 link rods didn't have a horseshoe in em like they do now. I guess they updated em as I've noticed the Red Tails have had em for awhile, my Frankie never had the updated ones. So i guess the newer ones would prevent the retracts from binding if the wire was too short, thus you have a retract that may not 'Retract', which is why I've made mine a tad longer for my eflite retract travel.
