Ugh!

Flew in some heavy wind today. Got into the craziest stall ever, when it fell it was rolling, butflipping at the same time. Unfortunately I was only about 40'. Almost pulled out of it inverted, but it still hit the ground upside down, breaking a bunch of stuff. Oh well, I wanted to paint it anyway.

You won't need any additional CF sparing. it should be fine as is, But I do recomend you get the New upgraded V2 Retracts (PZV2) and the new biefier upgraded struts as well from Raymond at RC-Castel.

I also recomend you change out the two 9g inner door servos to a more hearty servo like these that I use . the reason being is that you have to manually open the inner gear doors to install the two forward wing bolts and this tends to wear on and strip standard nylon geared servos

Also as a back up since your ordering parts from raymond..I would also recomend you get a spare retract tail wheel..in case your stock one decides to be tempermental and quits.....some have reported this problem...I've been luck so far.

and if your plane comes with the 270kv motor I recomend you upgrade it to the 300kv motor. with the 300kv motor you don't need the Famous V8 prop mod, with the 270 you do to make it fly decent. which right now I recomend against in light of all that is going one with props failures being reported

Ok V8, Here is some more pictures of a bit more progress of your... Capt. "Man-O'-Man"..., Almost done, and may be able to ship him to you earlier than I anticipated?

This guy was a serious labor of love and fun to do, I really enjoyed doing this one, but not sure if I want to do another one though?

Here is the paint specs in case you need to touch up? All done with model master enamal:

Flight suit = Tan
Harness straps = Light Ghost Gray
Helmet = Semigloss White & Ford Red
Parachute = Ford Red trimmed in Light Ghost Gray
Nomex Gloves = Light Ghost gray and Dunkelgrun RLM green {shaded down with flat white}
skin tone = blended skin tone light and skin tone warm tint
Glasses = flat black, gloss black, and (Rustoleum bright kote metalic finish {Chrome}) painted with a brush)...also applied to the metal buckels and helmet metal accents

The weathering, shadowing, & tinting is done with Tamiya acryilc (Smoke) both hand painted and Air-Brushed, and then I use Testors Dullcote thinned with laquer thinner to flatten the glossy areas I don't want and help seal the paint and decals.
