haha what a trip. I did not see your blog first. Seeing the box from the inside makes that look like a full scale EDF. Looks like its in a full size garage!

It would be nice if a strobe was being used to see the imbalance. Just a thought that Ive been working on. If this was pointed near the hub you then could see which area that was out of balance. The vibration is clearly seen by the camera movements. This should be a indication of how well everything is balanced. The setup I had with vibration sensors and a oscope I also seen part throttle vibrations and less vibration at full throttle. This may be partly due to how the esc tries to control the motor. It seems that there more ESC switching in the midrange trying to keep the speed constant. Full throttle looks like less switching. Anyway I ended up balancing until I had the least total vibrations.

Here is another short clip - better balance using the stock fan that comes with the 4.5" shroud, I had to make a new aluminum adapter to mount this up with my extension set up. Check out my blog for more photo's.
