Hog wild. Now with link to site.

Ok, this is the new HogWild from Air Combat in Piggott, Ar. Designed and manufactured by Bobby Baker. This little plane started out as the Terminator and was made of foam. Now that he is in production he is using coroplast that is die cut. This is one tuff bird.

The kit comes as you see in the second pic. The electronics tray come pre installed along with the carbon fiber rod inbedded in the wing. They are white with black decals that say HogWild . You can paint them with any paint and make them a bright and colorful as you want.

The third pic shows the hard ware package. Velcro, wood motormount, screws and G-10 horns. It's a whole lot easier to paint and apply decals befor assembly.

The motor , I'm using a TP 21, screws into the mount and then the mount gets attached to the tray with the supplied screws. Be sure to keep the prop centered in the slot. The mount gets secured with a screw from each side and one in the bottom.

As you can see the ailevons are live hinged and none has ever broke off.

Next you will want to glue in the control horns. These are a tight fit and C/A or hot glue will work. After that stick the large velcro strip down to the tray floor. And then slip the batteruy strap inthe slots from the bottom up. I u used a touch of hot glue on the bottom to hold it in place.

After that, I attached the esc and rx with velcro.

Now you can glue in the stabilizers. These go thru the wing and protrude out the bottom so as you can glue from both side. This helps in damage control. Once again, C/A or hot glue works great.

Sorry it took a while to get back. Next pic shows servo glued in with Hot glue. You can wrap them in tape first if you wish so as they are easy to remove if needed.

I like to tape down any loose wires so they don't get into the prop.

Next make up your pushrods. The kit comes with prebent wire and connectors. Connect the servo to the horn, add a 3 cell battery 1300 up to 2200 and your ready to go. I've seen several folks learn to fly with these. Very stable or as wild as you want to set it up.

I am not sure about the web site but the plane flys like a dream, I live about 2 hours north of Piggot, It is just crazy to get about a dozen of these in the air trying to knock each other out and they survive. You should be able to PM.

Talked to Bobby

I called Bobby yesterday and sent him a check for one kit, $35 + $7 shipping. I'll keep you posted on when I receive the plane and my impressions of the kit and the build. He said he is working on a website, but in the meantime, the phone and check route works great. I enjoyed talking with Bobby and learning about him, the plane, and his business producing them. So give him a call!

CG and Recommended Throws

Hi,

What is the CG?

What are the recommended throws for a trainer?

What are the recommended throws for a very responsive plane?

Do you recommend any exponential or other settings?
