Help!
HK Parkjet EDF

Hi all,

I posted this in the micro EDF section but no answer:

I just got this little thing from a friend and thought it would make a great conversion to EDF. Probably should run on 3S, 1000-1300 mha.
What would be a suitable Fan/motor set up for this? Flying weight is announced at 190gr (6.7oz) on a pusher set up.

Can anyone help? After doing a bit of research, I think this might do: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...ed_199_8W.html

What do you think?

Thanks,

Eric

looks like you'll need to do a rear podded application. you can get a pod real cheap from Ken Sparks @ www.parkplastics.com. another supplier is Gary at Efflux RC. of course, you can also make one yourself. it's not that difficult. that's how I would do it anyway. attach a pylon to that rear section of wood and put a pod back there.

you could also mount the fan closer to the fuselage, but the slipstreaming around the fuselage may upset the airflow into the fan, especially at higher AOA's. it's up to you how you do it, but those are your two options.

I'll probably mount it on a small CF moulded pylon.

Thanks for the link,

Eric
