I just find it surprising that my VR-1 locks into harrier better than my SHP.

but quite obviously, there's a bunch of differences between the SHP and the VR1, not to mention that such differences may even bring out a preference/familiarity to a particular airframe.

I dont know why Doc closed his Extra 300 threads, but all I can do is thank him for the great information that was in them, especially the thread dedicated to the sport flying settings for the 300. It was what gave me the confidence to step into a 3D capable airplane. Without it, I would still have been exclusively flying Parkzone Foamies (not that there is anything wrong with that, just fun to have branched out into other areas). In any case, that great info appears to be gone - first archived into Doc's blog site, and now gone (unless Im missing something).

Anyway, as a reference for those who might still be trying to make the bridge to the Extra 300 SHP, Ill repost here a link to my RCG blog page, which still has the throws documented. As a BIG 3DHS Extra 300 SHP fan, I hope other 3DHS newbies may find them helpful. Its not everything that was in Doc's thread, but I think its the critical info. Not fishing for hits, only hoping to keep that information alive as it was awesome for me.

Subscribed. Thanks for relaunching this with a Reasonable and Logical Thread Title, easier to find.

Haven't flown the SHP since Ohio Huckfest last Thursday...

Been working with the 48 SuperVyper cause it's been windy when I was flying and that is what I got it for, plus the shear speed on 4S.

I love my Red V2 SHP scheme though and it flies great!

The attachment of the rod to the servo horn has no flex they way it was setup when I got it. I tried moving it to the inside of the horn but that dinn't help much. What size ball link would be sufficient for this application? I plan to make my own one sided ball link with threaded music wire. I'll have a Z bend in the one side to attach to the aileron horn as it is now and the ball link on the servo side for flexibility. Thanks, Tom
Tom,

I just looked at my V2 SHP and the qwik connectors are mounted on the other side of the control horn. That may be causing your binding in one direction.

Yea life is great with a great charging system. I recently switched from a 20A iCharger 206 to a 30A iCharger 306 along with a 24v power supply. Simply awesome.

it amazes me how most people under estimate a good charger/batteries, its one of those things that you don't realize how good it is til you have it, congrats.

Yeah they were on the other side as well. I just tried switching it to see if it was any different. Thanks for the heads up though.

Dumb thumbed it bad. Just had to get one more flight after everyone had left. Gonna take some time to fix this one. Motorbox and major fuse damage. Not a great flight Skip to 4:50 for the carnage.
